LOCAL LOVE // MARCH 30, 2020
I don't know about y'all but this is my third week in self-isolation and a lot of my day revolves around creating Tik Toks, video chats and watching IG Live workouts (and sometimes even doing them!) We've all joked about how our homes are cleaner than ever and some of us have indulged in those Instagram challenges which is 2020's version of a chain email. One of the challenging is to share your work from home space and I have some serious envy seeing everyone's workspace - particularly those that have more than one room (hello studio apartment life.)
While a lot of us, understandably, aren't shopping at the moment, there is something to be said about an at-home workspace that helps you get into productivity mode when it's time to buckle down and Zoom non-stop.
Here is a list of some Vancouver-based business & people to make WFH a little bit easier, plus they're all smaller accounts (10 thousand followers or less.) I am a firm believer that the companies we support now are the companies that can continue to exist and thrive post-pandemic so I don't want to hear about how Bezos could be doing more if you're still buying everything off Amazon.
SKINCARE // MARCH 25, 2020
How's self-isolation going? At the time of writing this (March 25) I am on day 11 and I am somehow at two extremes at the same time. On one end, my days are going by faster and I am feeling less bored day to day, on the other end, it can be really frustrating sometimes to feel cooped up at home.
While being cooped up at home I am really pushing myself to be able to push through content that people will be interested in all while figuring out to take all my photos in one very small apartment. The Silk'n ReVit is a device I've had for a few years now and I kept telling myself that one day I would do a little write up for y'all and the time has finally come. It only took over an entire year and a pandemic.
But yeah, follow along as I vacuum my face because what else am I doing now that I finished watching Tiger King (that shit was wild.) Seriously, social distancing has put by social life on a standstill so at least something is sucking my face.
skincare // MARCH 21, 2019
This reoccurring category features skincare products I liked enough to use up, but did I like it enough to repurchase?
Items featured in this post include L'oreal Hydra Ultra-Fresh Toner, Nena Mineral Toner, Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, Aēsop In Two Minds Facial Toner.
OH HI THERE!
Vicki feels kind of ridiculous talking about herself in the third person as if she isn't the one writing this.
She already feels weird when people call her an influencer, please don't make her write her own bio too.
Sponsored posts or gifted items will always be noted. Some posts contain affiliate links but I always disclose when they do. This means that I receive a small commission if you purchase a product I've linked to.
All opinions are 100% my own which should be pretty obvious because I swear a fuckload. Brands love it. Probably. I've only ever gotten one cease and desist letter but it was fake anyways.
Also LOL about me disclosing about sponsored posts. At the time of me writing this little blurb I haven't done a single sponsored blog post and if anything this blog costs me my own sweet coin because I'm always buying my own products to review. Shout out to the first brand who wants to pay me for a review. Just not a fitness tea please.
Fuck those companies.
