This reoccurring category features skincare products I liked enough to use up, but did I like it enough to repurchase? I am also getting better about posting more consistently, eh? #funemployment really frees up my time.
Items featured in this post include NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray, Tarte Ready, Set, Radiant Skin Mist and Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
NYX MATTE FINISH SETTING SPRAY
LMAO. I'm a dummy. I already included this NYX Setting Spray in an empties round-up but I already took these photos so we're just going to go with it.
Would I repurchase? Obviously I have.
SMASHBOX PHOTO FINISH PRIMER WATER
The Smashbox Primer Water is probably one of my favourite setting spray. It's silicone, alcohol and oil free and honestly feels like just spraying water on your face but it locks that shit down. Because of how lightweight this is I feel like it would be a great setting spray for sensitive skin and it makes a great priming spray as well.
Would I repurchase? Yup! It's a bit on the pricier side ($42) - but it lasts so long. I do two sprays along my t-zone and both sides of my face.
COVER FX ILLUMINATING SETTING SPRAY
The version of theCover FX Setting Spray I tried was just a deluxe travel size, but it was more than enough to get the idea. I liked how this one sprayed the most out of all the sprays mentioned. The product comes out as an ultra fine mist and dries down instantly and works like a dream. This one also needs a good shake beforehand since it can look a bit shimmery if the micro-shimmer settles.
Would I repurchase? If I were to repurchase I would buy the matte formula instead because I'm not really into that ultra-dewy life.
TARTE READY, SET, RADIANT SKIN MIST
Listen, I am always looking for more eco-friendly beauty alternatives and I was excited to try this Tarte Skin Mist, but I was left disappointed. The formula is creamier than most and the nozzle clogs easily and the spray spits rather than mists. This one also stays so wet and never dries down. I ended up using it to prep the skin but I didn't like it for setting.
Would I repurchase? Nope. For that price you can find a better setting spray that isn't as finicky.
URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY
The setting sprays of ultra-cult status, Urban Decay All Nighter is seemingly every influencers and beauty gurus go-to setting spray. This is also one of my favourite setting sprays despite the price tag. It has a cooling sensation and it really locks down my makeup. It seemingly melts into my skin and whenever my makeup seems blotchy, the UD All Nighter seems to help all of my products blend better.
Would I repurchase? Yup. I would, I have, and I always stock up during sales.
The fine print: Y'all know the deal. Some of the links above are affiliate links meaning I earn a small commission if you decide to make a purchase through it.
Thanks in advance.
